1. Mini Thailand (Jibhi Island)

Mini Thailand is a spot where two big rocks are forming a shape of half circle and water in between these rocks. Both sides around this is surrounded by big mountains which gives this area a beautiful unique touch. You can simply sit and dip your feet in cold water and enjoy the lush green trees that embrace you. 

To reach Mini Thailand in Jbhi you need to trek downhill for about 500 meters in the forest Pushp Bhadra River from the forest guest house and it takes just about 10 minutes to reach.

It is a must do activity when in Jibhi.


2. Jibhi Waterfalls

The Jibhi waterfall is a popular spot with tourists and is a must visit because of its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Though this waterfall isn’t very high, it’s surrounded by lush greenery and lots of flora and fauna making it a perfect location to relax and appreciate the natures around it. The waterfall area is well-maintained and clean with easy access by car / taxi right up to the entrance. There’s a small entry fee of just Rs. 20 and parking is available just near to the waterfall.

You may also stop by the waterfall while returning from Jalorie Pass. The Jibhi offers a memorable experience in with great photo opportunities and a happy environment.


3. Jalori Pass (Raghupur Fort)

The trek up to the top covers approximately 3 km and will take almost an hour and a half. A round trip to the hill top will take nearly 4 hours if you are going up and taking your time around at the area, where swings have been installed for a wonderful fun. In the middle of your trek you will find a a café, which starts just before the steep climb. This eventually becomes a stop for many who would rather not do the difficult part of climbing. The view from the top is breathtaking; it portrays a panoramic view from Shimma to Kullu Manali. There are major mountain ranges that are visible from here, like Kinnaur Kailash, Manimahesh, Pir Panjal, Churdhar, Pin Parvati, Dhauladhar, and Hanuman Tibba, making for a very beautiful natural scenery.

The Raghupur Fort is another less-visited yet equally beautiful destination than Serolsar Lake. This trek also takes you through a gentle path in dark forests, which then takes a steep ascent. Though no proper fort structure is in sight, a neat stack of rocks marks the place. The real attraction of Raghupur Fort, however, is its grassy top, from where one can enjoy 360-degree views, which justifies the climb. The trek is a wonderful mix of natural beauty, breathtaking mountain views, and adventure for those who like lesser-trodden paths.


4. Serolsar Lake

Seruvalsar Lake is a high-altitude lake located in the Seraj Valley of the Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh. This lies at an elevation of nearly 3,100 meters above sea level, which is surrounded by thick forests. It is reachable by a scenic trek of about 10 km long that goes each way from Jalori. The trek roughly takes four hours and thirty minutes around the trip for a beginner while providing a lunch break time of 30 minutes. Leaving by 10:30 am from Jalori Pass, you will be reaching the lake just before 12:40 pm, thereby experiencing serene beauty before starting back to your return journey by 3:00 pm.

The trek to Seruvalsar Lake is rated easy to moderate, with generally level paths and some slight uphill and downhill sections. Halfway through, the trek offers a viewpoint over the snow-capped peaks, which is a wonderful photo opportunity. The entire route is lined with small shops where trekkers can stop for snacks and refreshments, and also snack vendors near the lake.

The Serenity of the deodar and conifer forests, makes this journey of this trek quite mystifying and a treasure of a time for anyone visiting the lake. The Scenic views either in form of seeing mountains or luscious greens around you are all pretty striking in this Seruvalsar Lake. An easy-going trek in the trail is very attractive to all types of novice as well as professional trekkers also who look to discover the beauty and the silence of Himachal's woods.


5. Tirthan Valley

Tirthan Valley is known for its lush meadows, orchards, villages, waterfalls and pristine Himalayan landscapes - a gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park. It is a great place for slow travel where one can get a peace of mind away from fast urban life of. It takes about 1 hour 30 mins to get there from Jibhi, but it is hidden treasure in the Himalayas for riverside camping beside fresh and clean waters. Though once a little-kept secret, many today have discovered Tirthan Valley in recent years.

Meandering through the valley, you derive the sublimity along the twisting roads encircled by green forests and occasional streams of Tirthan.  Breathtaking panoramas unravel around each bend: serrated mountains, stone villages touched by an old-time gentleness, and flower-gathered meadows abound with charm. It also helps to have crisp and fresh air and the soothing background of a river, making all of it the more serene. There's an increase in expansive views as you climb and also in the sight of high mountain peaks and deep virgin valleys. Stopping around riverside is one other good way to really find serenity in the stillness of the valley.

Best Time to visit Tirthan is between March and June along with October and December. Summers are from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius with the month of April slightly chilling, May and June experiencing sunny and pleasant weather conditions. The untouched beauty and peaceful ambiance of Tirthan Valley make it the destination for nature lovers as well as adventure seekers.


6. Balu Nag Temple

The Balu Nag Temple is a temple dedicated to the local deity Anant Balu Nag. This temple is located in Bahu village, a small and lesser-known settlement about 10 km from Jibhi. What makes this temple truly unique is its serene location. Nestled in a meadow surrounded by deodar trees, the temple remains largely undiscovered and is often empty, making it a peaceful spot for visitors. Balu Nag shrine is nearby. It lies beneath a huge deodar tree where devotees offer metal.

You can trek from Bahu village to Balu Nag Temple, a distance of 2 km that would take you an hour and 30 minutes. It is quiet, and the view is nice. You can catch the public bus to Bahu and hire a taxi for this journey and then trek from there. On the way, there are some shops, but very few with not much choice in terms of food or other products.

The temple is quite remote with extremely quiet surroundings. Therefore, it is a secret oasis in the region for those looking for peace and solitude and a connection with nature and local spirituality.


7. Shetadhar Temple

It is a beautiful temple placed at a height of 4000 feet from the sea level. Right before the temple, you have a big stone labeled as Jogi stone. It is said that all the gods and goddesses living in the mountains come here to get their powers and after getting the powers, they go to their respective places. Locals organize a traditional fair of Shetadhar every year on 16 September at this place and a very beautiful glimpse of Himachal's culture is seen in that fair.

It takes about 2 hours drive from Jibhi to reach Shetadhar Temple.


8. Tungasi Garh

Tungasi Dhar is a hill group near Janjehli Valley and is distinguished by high scenic values and dense deodar forests. Dev Tungasi Temple at the top is dedicated to Tungasi Rishi, one of the most revered local deities. The old stone foundations and boundary walls remain in the surrounding area, which is known as Tungasi Gadh, which was probably used either by soldiers or local rulers. This elevated site historically served as a residential area strategically surrounded by stone walls.

It makes a scenic picnic spot with panoramic views of evergreen. Tungasi Dhar lies remote and in inaccessible road distance, maintaining all its pristine character. The view from the peak, especially over Janjehli Valley, is worthwhile even though some areas are dangerously steep, requiring caution while doing photography.

The trek to Tungasi Dhar is unmarked and visitors will have to trek through dense deodar and rai tree cover. This peace and natural splendor make it the perfect retreat for those in search of solitude and a view from a unique vantage over the valley.
